Complementing the resounding success of the 1st Palestinian Heritage Festival, the audience will witness in the Cultural Village Katara (building 3) the 2nd edition of this event from 05 May to 14 May-2016, under the slogan: "Our history, our heritage ... Steadfastness". The event comes as a result of the confident cooperation b​etween the Cultural Village Katara and the Palestinian Qatari friendship Association and as a clear evidence of the depth brotherhood and friendship relationship between the two fraternal peoples of Qatar and the Palestine. It is reported that the 1st Palestinian Heritage Festival, which was between 23 to 29 April 2014 presented an overview of the Palestinian history and culture through exhibits of Palestinian crafts and masterpieces of antique pottery, copper ornaments and furniture, in addition to the splendid folkloric paints which attracted a large audience of different nationalities and the Palestinian community living in the state. Our history, our heritage ... steadfastness... The aim of this cultural event is to highlight the Palestinian identity and historical roots of ancient Palestinian people ingrained in their land since a long time… as it also aims to preserve the cultural patrimony and the belonging to the Palestinian identity and territories, a torch, which Palestinians are keen to bear generation after generation. During this week, folk performances of the Palestinian popular heritage, songs, debkah dance and the Palestinian wedding will be presented, as well as shows of Palestinian popular fashion, traditional Palestinian food, in addition to cultural lectures related to history, heritage and fine art photography of Palestinian lands and the sacred holy history of Al-Qods (Jerusalem).
