​​Cultural Village Foundation - Katara, In cooperation with Al-Frjan committee for football tournaments in Aspire present: 7th Edition of Katara Beach Football Championship Registration is Open for the 7th Edition of Katara Beach Football Championship 2017 Al-Furjan Football Committee announces the opening of the 7th edition of Katara Beach Football Championship 2017, Annually Organized by Katara Beach under the supervision of Al-Furjan Football Committee Terms and Conditions​ Registration will start on Wednesday, 17/5/2017. The championship is open to individuals aged 17 years and above, born in the year 2000 or earlier. The championship is for all Qatari residents, citizens and expatriates alike, GCC citizens and residents who are not born in Qatar but are studying in Qatar at different levels of school. In addition, only one player from the national Qatari Beach Football is eligible to register with the team. The participating teams should be named after the cities and the regions in the State of Qatar. Players of a team must wear the same uniform with numbers. The number of players for each team will vary from 8 to 12 players, + 3 additional staff, including coaches, managers or supervisors. 5 players will be on the court at given time during the match, and the rest will be substitutes. Substitutions may be made throughout the match. The duration of the match will be 30 minutes divided into two sets with 5 minutes of rest during the first matches. Each participating team is required to pay an insurance amount of 3,000 QAR. If the team doesn’t violate the rules and regulations throughout the championship, the amount will be refunded after the tournament. A personal photo and a copy of a valid ID are required.​ Championship Awards First prize: awarding cup + Golden medals + financial award worth 50,000 QAR Second prize: awarding cup + Silver medals + financial award worth 40,000 QAR.
