Sponsored by the Ministry of Youth and Sports the Qatar Photography Society in cooperation with the Cultural Village Foundation Katara will hold an exhibition to honor the artist Rashid Safar on September 10, 2014 at the Hall of society, building 18. Rashid Safar, a giant of art photography in Qatar, one of the most important and oldest members of the Qatar Photographic Society, he has devoted his life to photography, his passion for the camera is considered a treasure for the society due to his wide culture and long history in photography and all its forms and practices, a historical and renewed Encyclopedia, witnessing generations and different periods of photography which allowed him to combine old and modern art photography. He was valued by photographers for his love dedication to Photography... and his passion for his inseparable camera and lens. The exhibition includes 45 of his early and modern photography artworks, and a corner of the exhibition will be allocated to display photo tools such as lenses, filters and negatives.
