Part of the Latin American Cultural Festival 2011 The famed Brazilian born Sergio and Odair Assad, acclaimed for their brilliance in the classical, jazz, and Latin repertoires, have been called “the best two guitar team in existence.” Together with their sister Badi Assad vocalist, guitarist and percussionist, singer Carolina Assad (Odair’s daughter) and talented composer, pianist and singer Clarice Assad (Sergio’s daughter) they presented a vibrant programme exploring the rhythmic similarities that tie Middle Eastern music (their ancestral roots) with the music of Brazil.
