Qatar Photography Society presents Al Galayl photography Exhibition entitled "Hope of the hunter" by Qatari artist Yousef bin Ahmed Al Khulaifi who documented the competition and its most important features through his lens. In this context, Mr. Ahmed Al Khulaifi says: “This exhibition includes 46 artworks covering several aspects of hunting during our ancestors’ era. My photographs portray the hunter's efforts, sufferings, joys and fatigue, as well as their tricks and fascination towards animals. I have also highlighted the deadly chase between Falcon and Bustard, the tracking of the Fawn by Greyhound dogs, and the picturesque beauty of nature…” Al Khulaifi added: "works presented in the exhibition reflect my unforgettable experience. What I have witnessed in Al Galayl brought me back to the momentous lineament of our local culture and to the favorite Arab sport (hunting) which I consider as one of the most honorable sports as it requires the hunter to be physically and mentally alert while adapting with other hunters. Additionally, the hunter exerts great effort to tame and train the camel, horse, falcon and dog for hunting and endurance in order to hunt with his peers.''
