​​​​Terms and conditions The competition begins on 1st of October and ends on the 20th of October.Entrantscan submit their entries on our website.Entrants to submit details such as name, e-mail, mobile, age, gender & nationalityPhotos must represent scenery / person / animal / thing in and around the streets of QatarOnlyone photo must be submitted per participant email/mobile number.Photosmust be taken with a smartphoneNo screenshots permittedNo filters permittedAll ages can participateWatermark or signed imageswill not be acceptedEntries after the mentioned deadline will not be taking into consideration20 competition winner photos will be displayed at Katara Cultural Village in Building #22A from 24th of October till 30th of October.Prizes for the top 3 winners will be declared on the 22nd of October at Katara Cultural Village in building Prizes:​​1st Prize: QAR 10,000 2nd Prize: QAR 5,000 3rd Prize: QAR 2,500By entering the contest, entrant acknowledges, represents and warrants that the submitted work is original and authored by the entrant and agrees that the submitted photograph does not infringe on the copyrights, trademarks, moral rights, rights of privacy/publicity or intellectual property rights of any person or entity, and that no other party has any right, title, claim, or interest in the photograph.Submitting an entry will not be considered if the criteria is not met.All photos must comply with basic tenets of appropriate content. No defamatory, sexually explicit, obscene, or abusive subject matter will be accepted.Entry submissions will be considered as theentrant's permission to Katara to sell the selected photos at an internally decided price to the public. The revenue from the sale of the 20 selected exhibits will be donated towards charity.   Judging A panelist of photographers exhibited and the Katara management will judge all images. Finalists  20 selected finalists will be asked to send a high-resolution jpg. file (250-300dpi) of the entered image.        All images remain the creative and intellectual property of the photographer. **The Katara Photography Festival fully supports the rights of photographers** Awards -The top three KPF Awards and prizes will be announced on 22nd of October, 2017 at the evening award presentation.  Award winners do not to be present to receive the recognition.   LicenseBy entering the contest, entrant grants the Katara Photography Festival and its affiliates, irrevocable, perpetual and worldwide permission to utilize the submitted image, and the entrant's name and likeness, for promotional purpose in connection with the Contest and promotion of the contest, including, but not limited to: online/print media, exhibition of finalists/selected entries, publication of a book featuring selected finalists/selected entries. The Katara Photography Festival and its affiliates will not be required to pay any additional compensation in connection with such uses.The photographer will always be credited, and at no time will the submitted image be used for commercial purposes.   Limitation of Liability​By participating, entrants agree to release, discharge, and hold harmless the Katara Photography Festival, all respective partners, affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising agencies, agents and their employees, officers, directors, and representatives from any claims, losses, damages, and injuries arising out of their participation in this festival.The Katara Photography Festival reserves the right to disqualify any participant at its discretion, for reasons of unsuitable conduct, conflict of interest, or failure to comply with rules.The Katara Photography Festival reserves the right to cancel the event or modify these rules at its discretion.
