Moudhi Al Hajri is one of the most interesting Qatari photographers today, her drive and passion for photography as a form of art, and as a medium that allows her to engage with the world she inhabits, is heartfelt and deep. Her photography is extremely compelling and she does not have a style as such, she transcends these classifications and uses her camera to engage with the world at large and its peoples, in many cases even to give them a voice. “My Journeys Through Yemen” is an exhibition attempting to share with the Qatari audience Moudhi Al Hajri 6 year very personal involvement with Yemen as a country and its people. The works exhibited share with us Moudhi’s journeys through Yemen from 2007 to 2013. Visitors are going to be able to grasp the magnitude of this photographer’s dedication to Yemen and its people through the breathtaking scope and extension of the work exhibited, both conceptually and geographically.
