Katara Cultural Village, in partnership with the British Council and the Scottish Government present ‘Scotland Day’, a celebration of Scottish culture, as part of the Qatar Year of Culture 2013. Scotland Day will include a program of Scottish and Celtic music with a live concert from the Ross Ainslie and Jarlath Henderson Band. There will also be a traditional Scottish Country Dance display including an ‘Orcadian Strip the Willow’ – a group dance that anyone can join in where guests can be swept away. The event will be set against a backdrop of stunning Scottish photography, showcasing the country’s heritage, creativity, culture, cuisine and hospitality and guests can sample a real flavor of Scotland at a food tasting reception.
