The Cultural Village Foundation – Katara announced the opening of registration for the pearl diving and fishing contests within the 8th edition of Senyar Festival. The registration begins February 3 until March 15 organised by the Katara Beach Management from 9:00am to 2:00pm. The conditions for registration include having a wooden boat (traditional dhow) equipped with navigation systems and safety facilities with a valid license. Participating teams should be from 10 – 13 participants for the fishing and 8-12 for the pearl diving contest. Participants must be Qatari nationals and only four participants per team can be of different nationalities.
