The Cultural Village Foundation, KATARA, has organized a photography exhibition from 30 May until 8 June 2013. The exhibition will present photographs taken by participants during the “Senyar" contest for pearl diving and fishing, which was held from 17 to 30 April this year. The photos bring to life the emotions felt by the contestants in their journey through the rich heritage of Qatar. The Senyar festival of this year witnessed a high crowd presence, as the number of participants augmented from 17 to 30. The prizes reached one million and 300 thousand riyals, the first place was rewarded with 300 thousand riyals, the second place with 200 thousand and the third place with 150 thousand, while the rest of the teams were rewarded 15 thousand riyals each, in addition to the largest fish prize with 100 thousand riyals. As well as prizes for the public on the final day at Katara beach.
