The Shuar Arutam territory is situated in the Condor  Mountain Range of Ecuador and photographing this community is an attempt to bring us closer to a world that is hidden and often feared. The Sons of the Sacred Waterfalls aims to support the conservation process that the Shuar Community had created. There is no doubt that to portrait the jungle  has obstacles and satisfactions. One of the first challenges  is distrust, the outsider is always seen as a threat to the community. The photography of Nicolas Kingman focuses on the Shuar way of life, based on the living forces and energies as plants, animals, spiritual beings and gods. The technique chosen allows us to appreciate the scenery of the Shuar's daily life where family, work and nature are never separated. The photographs were taken over a course of 3 years that lead us to understand the Shuar mysterious and wondrous world. The exhibition is an photographic anthropologic essay allowing all the visitors to share the Shuar way of life.
