The Cultural Village Foundation - Katara presents The Virtual Exhibition "Trace" By the Qatari artist Jawaher Al-Mannai

The fine-art artist loved and practiced art from her early age and used it as a way to draw her future.Her paintings express a facet of Qatari women creativity in fine-art. She reflected through her artworks the realities of our social life, as she believes that art is a way of life.

Indeed… man shall return to the dust from which he was created, leaving behind his trace that we see today, as civilization the trace living through generations. Books, inventions, creations of different
types represent beautiful human traces that immortalize his soul … The subject of my paintings was inspired by the trace that a person leaves and through which we learn about it, as civilizations were
known through monuments and sculptures found.
The frequent symbol in the paintings dates from a piece carved on a bone found in an archaeological site in northern Qatar. The Qatari man left us a trail to let us know how his life was during that period.
