The fifth edition of S’hail – Katara International Hunting and Falcons Exhibition 2021 – got off to an expansive start at the Cultural Village Foundation on Tuesday with the buzzing presence of 160 national and international companies from 18 countries.

The opening day of the distinguished exhibition of falconry products and hunting-related weaponry also witnessed the visits of a number of ambassadors accredited to the State of Qatar which included Ambassador of the Republic of Peru HE Jose Benzacín, Ambassador of the Republic of Sudan HE Abd Al-Rahim Al-Siddig Mohamed, Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia HE Jasminko Pozderac, and Chargé d'Affairs of the Embassy of the Syrian Republic Dr. Bilal Turkiye. 

Their Excellencies were acquainted with the most prominent sections of the exhibition and the distinguished local, regional and international participations.
HE Dr. Khalid bin Ibrahim Al-Sulaiti, Director-General of the Cultural Village Foundation ‘Katara’ and Chairman of the Organizing Committee of ‘S’hail’ - Katara International Hunting & Falcons Exhibition 2021, expressed his happiness at the opening of the fifth edition of the exhibition. “S’hail is growing in importance year after year and the fifth edition confirms its leadership as being the largest and most important international exhibition in the Middle East and North Africa in the field of hunting and falconry,” he said.

HE Dr. Al-Sulaiti pointed out that ‘S’hail’ - Katara International Hunting & Falcons Exhibition continues to develop with rapid growth and increase, both in terms of additional spaces that have been allocated to accommodate all the pavilions of the participating companies and equipping them according to innovative and attractive designs and with very impressive artistic and aesthetic features, or in terms of  marketing methods to provide the best of companies, stressing that the fifth version is  quite different from the previous ones given the remarkable Gulf presence and the presence for the first time of many international companies offering new and diverse products in the weapons, hunting and trips sector.

He further pointed out that the exhibition is being held with great interest as it constitutes an international cultural, heritage and economic forum which provides a great opportunity for the exchange of experiences and expertise in hunting besides attracting an elite of most skilled craftsmen and manufacturers in falconry and hunting supplies from all over the world.

Some of the new eye-catching features at S’hail this year include latest weapons and gadgetry, display of life-size wild animal work art, and world-class falcon sculpting and wood carving craft.
The five-day exhibition runs till Saturday (September 11) and will receive visitors from 10am to 10pm on all days except Friday when it will open at 2pm and continue till 11pm.

S’hail sees the application of highest standards of safety and safe shopping in accordance with the Ministry of Public Health precautionary measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus (Covid-19).
